Yummy Carmel Granola

5 cups of oats
1/2 cup pecans pieces
8 oz. of apple sauce
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
Mix all the above together; spread out on a buttered cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 35 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Add
2 cups of Cheerios (I used honey nut)
Now to make the carmel topping
1/2 cup of real butter
3/4 cup of brown sugar
Place butter and sugar in a sauce pan over a medium heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes. Pour topping over granola and toss to coat.
