I mounded more straw on the potatoes this morning! These have been in the ground since Valentines week.
Lettuce is our only steady producer so far. It really needs a summer tomato and cucumber to make an awesome salad.
The tomatoes are growing like mad now! They will eventually climb out the top of their 5 ft cages! They have some blooms but no green tomatoes yet.
My squash has really grown this last week! I found my first dreaded squash bug today. I hate squash bugs! I know hate is a strong word but I really do hate those little bugs. I would love any advise anyone has on how to get rid of them without putting pesticide in my beautiful garden.
My cucumbers are way behind since I had to replant them after the cold snap got them. They could also use some weeding! Soon they will be climbing up their cages!
This one is for you, Mucking Mom 1! Yes, my broccoli is going to make more than one head. I cut a small head of broccoli off this plant last week.
We also have green beans up and growing! Farmer Rick added a couple rows of something in the back too while JQ and I were busy horse showing. (Sure wish we could get a look at the other Mucking Moms gardens!)
That’s how it is growing at my garden. Mucking Mom 2
