Garden update- Mid September
1September 16, 2013 by Buffy
Our garden has produced an unbelievable amount of produce this year! And it is still going strong!
We are still picking tomatoes by the bucket full.
Our peppers are loaded!
Our okra is amazingly tall and producing a 3 gallon bucket full every three days! I have frozen it and pickled it. I have also fed it to the kids 3 times a week for weeks. The kids love it! We have also given it away!
We are still picking peas! These peas are called Zipper Creams. I was not sure about them, but someone told me they were better than purple hull peas. Better than purple hull peas!?! Well, we had to try them. They are yummy! They taste very creamy (like the name said) and they are much larger peas than purple hull peas. These are definitely a winner. I still love purple hull peas, but I will be planting some of these too!
Wow – your garden still looks beautiful!!
