Summer garden started

April 19, 2014 by Buffy

We look forward all Winter to Easter weekend, because that is when we plant our Summer garden.  Our Spring garden has been in since the middle of March.

It is producing lettuce.

We also have cauliflower, broccoli, radishes, beets, onions, and carrots already growing.

Now it’s time to add in our Summer favorite veggies.  We planted peppers, both hot and sweet.

We planted tomatoes, lot and lots of tomatoes!  These tomatoes have been raised from seeds by me! (It is my first time! I’m pretty excited!)  They have been sharing my sunny bedroom window since February.

We are hoping that all the freezing nights are over.  My potatoes suffered some frost burn this week.

Happy Easter everyone!  I hope your garden is growing!

Good looking garden. Nice rich soil. All your hard work will pay off.

I can’t wait for the cold nights to end, up north here we’ve had 3 nights in the past week below freezing!
And your tomatoes look great, we have some just popping from seed, I’m hoping they do okay- it’s our first time starting them too!

  3. Lookin” good! I’m planning on doing my garden next weekend. Ran out of time this week!
