Beetles in my cucumbers!
11July 16, 2014 by Buffy
We are growing some beautiful cucumber plants. We have big hopes of tons of cucumbers to make lots of pickles! We have waited patiently for them to climb to the top of the trellis.
Today we discovered these big green beetles hanging out in my beautiful cucumbers!
June beetles in July! Yuck! Boy it has been a rough gardening year!
OH NOOOOOOOOO! ATTACK OF THE BEETLES!!!(Don’t send any of them Japanese beetle-looking beetles our way…we want our cucumbers, too!) 🙂
Those beetles won’t be causing any problems for anyone! Happy Gardening!
I think they’ve been snacking on My cucumber leaves, to some extent, anyway.:)
I just couldn’t hit “like” for this post! Those things are persistent!
So far I’m not seeing any real damage from them, but I will continue to check every evening!
Yuck!! Hopefully you can get rid of them!! The vines looks beautiful and you should have a good harvest if you can get those nasty suckers outta there!!
Expecting a bumper crop! I love how they climb the fence!
Your cukes look fantastic! I hope those beetles make their exit soon!
Thanks! I’ll be hand picking those pest nightly!
Yuck, beetles like that are gross.
I was just noticing the June bugs lately. Your cukes look great! All of mine died except one and it looks pitiful. Oh well….
