When I thought about my word for 2015, I struggled with which one to choose. I know the one(s) the hubby (Builder Bob) would like for me to pick: Clean, Declutter, Order, Organize, and Purge. But…just not feeling it.

This weekend several disasters were discovered in the craft room. As I was on my hands and knees vacuuming up lots of glitter and bean bag pellets, I was mumbling “not nice” words about Princess and her LOVE of all things shiny, and Satan aka Duke, the new kitten, and his love of all things that make a mess. And, suddenly it hit me…I had clarity…the situation was crystal clear.

In eight short months, Princess will be moving in her dorm room. Three hours away. There will be no more glitter explosions in the craft room, no more late night tutus being made, no more Dance Moms/Project Runway/Toddlers & Tiara marathons. I sat down in the middle of the glitter and bean bag pellets and cried my heart out.

After my moment of CLARITY, I vowed to incorporate a few more words, on the list, into the next eight months with Princess:

Adventure

Celebrate

Enjoy

Fun

Happy

Joy

Laugh

Together

And, one not on the list…Lots and lots of GLITTER!
