corona warning app expected in mid june

This is a realistic timeframe, according to government sources in berlin. As early as next week, the companies involved in the development, T-systems and SAP, plan to make initial information about the architecture and structure of the program code available for "open source" review by the general public.

In the first version, the app will focus very strongly on the core function of breaking infection chains, it continued. Only in a later second stage will it be possible to voluntarily donate data to a research server in order to gain even more knowledge. In addition, the possibilities for a europe-wide interaction of the app with the applications of other countries were considered during the development process.

The citizens’ acceptance of the app published by the robert koch institute depends to a large extent on the fact that government-independent network experts were able to look into these codes very early on, so that a high number of installations would result in the end, the decision was justified in the circles to publish information about the program code as early as possible. Rough acceptance of the app, which is based on voluntariness, can only be expected if data protection and information security are ensured.

At the same time, it was emphasized that the app would be neither a panacea nor a free ride in the corona crisis. The rules of distance and hygiene were much more important, as was the wearing of masks to protect the mouth and nose in everyday life.

Although global carbon dioxide emissions fell by about 17 percent in april compared to the previous year in the face of the corona restrictions, according to a report published in new york by several un organizations.

By the beginning of june, however, daily CO2 emissions were already only about five percent below those of 2019. For the year as a whole, the authors of the report forecast a reduction of four to seven percent compared to the previous year’s figures.

Meanwhile, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has continued to rise, the report says. Even the slight reduction in emissions this year is likely to make little difference. "While many aspects of our lives were disrupted in 2020, climate change has continued unabated, as this report shows," said petteri taalas, head of the world meteorological organization (WMO), a specialized agency of the u.N.

The years 2016 to 2020 will probably be the warmest five-year period since records began – with a global average temperature of 1.1 degrees celsius above that of the period between 1850 and 1900 and 0.24 degrees celsius above that of the years 2011 to 2015.

2020 will be an "unprecedented year for humans and the planet," said UN secretary-general antonio goodres. "The corona virus pandemic has disrupted lives around the world. At the same time, the warming of our planet and the climate crisis has progressed rapidly." Cohesion is now needed. "We must use the recovery from the pandemic as a real opportunity to build a better future."

The climate policy spokeswoman of the greens in the german bundestag, lisa badum, told the german press agency that the economy must now be rethought. "It makes almost no difference whether we briefly emit less CO2, but that very soon we will no longer be blowing any emissions into the atmosphere at all. All subsidies and economic rescue plans must be revoked and should call exclusively for climate-friendly technologies."The climate crisis is a "challenge of the century that we must finally take as seriously as a financial crisis or pandemic".

A small lantern with the flame will be on display until the end of april at the J-village soccer training center near the ruins of the fukushima nuclear power plant, as the organizers of the games, which have been postponed to next year, announced at a handover ceremony. The access for the burghers is subject to restrictions for protection against the coronavirus. The flame was handed over to a representative of fukushima, where it was supposed to be on the 26th. March the torch relay should have started. Due to the postponement of the games for one year, the torch relay was also suspended for the time being.

The olympic flame was lit on 20. Marz arriving from greece at a military base in the neighboring province of miyagi. Regardless of the worries about the corona virus pandemic, on the following day around 55.000 japanese in the provincial capital sendai visited the fire. Organizers spoke of the "flame of recovery". In 2011, an earthquake and a resulting tsunami caused a natural disaster in the region, killing more than 18,500 people. Nuclear meltdowns subsequently occurred at the fukushima nuclear power plant.

Because of the corona pandemic, the flame now has another symbolic meaning. The president of the international olympic committee, thomas bach, said the fire could become "the light at the end of the tunnel" through which the world is currently passing. The olympic games, postponed to next year because of the corona pandemic, will be held from the 23rd to the 23rd. July until 8. August 2021 – almost one year to the day after the original date.
