Dfb women with impressive victory over england at wembley

Both teams played the match as if it were a compulsory game. Sara doorsoun could also have seen red for a hard tackle with a stretched fub against beth mead. Lena oberdorf (17.) and klara buhl (21./24.) had a chance to make it 2-0, but failed to do so.
Then the german goalkeeper frohms suddenly came into the spotlight. The substitute for the still-injured almuth schult fouled mead, who was running alone towards her after receiving a through pass, but saved the justified penalty with a combined save from hand and fub. "No idea how she held that one," popp commented on what her goalkeeper did. But frohms was powerless to equalize from a position strongly suspected of being offside.
After the change, the once again convincing central defender oberdorf had to stay out with thigh complaints, for the 17-year-old came the twelve year old martina hegering. The game continued to be highly entertaining, the spectators celebrated with the wave and above all drove their team forward again and again loudly. In the final minute, however, buhl silenced the fans.
